02/04/2008 - Very very nice golfing community Posted by Samuel (Sharpsville, IN)
| 04/30/2007 - Good course surrounded by lakes and houses. One of the best couse (conditions wise) of the trip. Only negative, the driving range was still close (re-opening was annonced in january 2007)despite being told that it would probably be open. but otherwise a good course for the price. | 03/24/2007 - Top notch facility!!! Next time we might consider playing both the Cypress & International courses. Posted by Steven L. (Mapleton, IL) |
03/19/2007 - Played both the Cypress and Oaks on the same day. Preferred the Cypress loop over the Oaks but both were beautifully maintained. Courses were very spread out and seldom did you have the "back and forth" of many cookie cutter courses. The only knock I could make against it is that the bar wasn't prepared for hot dogs at noon between the two rounds and we wound up waiting for half an hour. Perhaps they were just understaffed that day. Otherwise enjoyed the layout and would play them again. Posted by Carl (Westfield, MA)
02/20/2007 - Good value. Posted by Steve (Bedford, NH)
01/29/2007 - fabulouse course Posted by Charles (Abingdon, MD)
01/29/2007 - Played 1/26/07. Best course conditions of the week, even better than OCN Crooked Cat. Love the course but just like when I played the Oaks a few years ago, you feel like somewhat of an outsider when you play here. Upscale community. Watch out for gators here. You'll be okay if you hit it straight. Posted by Rex (Bicknell, IN)
10/30/2006 - Nice set up. Posted by Alan (Sarnia, ON)

Open January 2006, the Cypress Course at Stonegate (formerly Poinciana) has been skillfully redesigned by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton, being fabricated into a more challenging layout than its predecessor. Fairways are gently rolling and flanked by undisturbed century-old cypress trees; all the greens have been expanded in size to feature undulations acceptable for much faster roll - some greens have now been bulk-headed for a truly spectacular visual affect. Cart paths now run the length of the course, tee to green, and water comes into play on 13 holes. Don't expect to recognize many of the new holes as this picturesque redesign will have you questioning your ability to remember what used to be! The Cypress is a unique addition to this terrific golf facility and creates a great 36-hole combination with its sister course, the Oaks. Play them both - you won't be disappointed.
